Chronic illness management

Our nurses run regular clinics to monitor the following conditions:

  • Asthma – For patients who are due an annual asthma review, please would you answer the questions on the online form and submit it to us. If your symptoms are deteriorating or you have any concerns, please make an appointment to the respiratory nurse or a doctor as well.
  • COPD
  • Diabetes
  • Heart disease
  • Hypertension
  • Kidney disease

Additional services

Baby and child care

Child development checks arranged on Tuesdays between 09:00 – 12:00. Invitations sent by the Health Authority.

Breast screening

Cervical smears

By appointment with the practice nurse.

Counselling

Referrals to Cassandra Jackson can be made after a consultation with the doctor.

Family planning

Including the fitting of coils, Mirena coils and emergency contraception.

Injections

With the practice nurse.

Maternity services

Regular antenatal clinics are held at the surgery on Tuesdays with the community midwife.

Minor surgery

For the removal of lumps and bumps. Appointments can be made following a consultation with the doctor.

Vaccinations and immunisations

Weight loss advice

If you are trying to lose weight or changes have been identified that may lead to you, or someone you know becoming diabetic, – we have posted an important document entitled “How much is too much”. This contains important information for male and female patients on the daily portions of food needed to balance good health and give you the best possible eating plan.
